Winter is slowly winding down along the South Coast

August has been a month of pure magic here on the South Coast. Mother Ocean has been alive in every sense! Here’s what’s been happening (and what’s still to come):

🐟 Sardine Surprise

Against all odds, the sardines are still around! The annual run usually winds down by now, but this year the shoals have lingered, bringing along an abundance of life — and plenty of excitement in the water.

🐋 Wild Encounters in the Lineup

From the deck we’ve been spotting more and more whales cruising past. And if that wasn’t enough, we’ve had hundreds of dolphins literally surfing with us in the lineup — playful, fast, and right there on the waves. Sharing the ocean with them has been nothing short of unforgettable.

🌬️ Windy but Wonderful

September also marks the start of our windy month — but the sandbanks are still holding up perfectly. The water is crystal clear and warming up, now sitting at a “balmy” 20°C. After those chilly mornings, it feels incredible to paddle out into the turquoise water.

🎨 Wave Paint Workshop – 20 Sept

We’re stoked to host a Wave Paint Workshop with local artist Radmer Lenasch on 20 September. This is a chance to blend surf stoke with creativity, and spots are filling up fast — only a few left available. Don’t miss it!
