Winter has truly settled onto the South Coast, but don't let the season fool you - our ocean is looking more like a tropical postcard than the middle of the year.

The water has been crystal clear, with surprisingly warm temperatures and clean conditions making for some unforgettable sessions. Whether you've been catching your very first wave or finding those long peeling rides, June has delivered the goods.

Magical Surfhouse Moments

As always, the evenings have been just as memorable as the days. Bonfires under clear winter skies, braais shared with new friends from around the world, good stories, and plenty of laughter have reminded us why the Umzumbe Surfhouse is about so much more than just surfing.

Adding to the magic, the annual Sardine Run has arrived. It's one of nature's greatest spectacles, bringing dolphins, seabirds, whales, and incredible marine life right to our doorstep. Every surf has come with the chance of witnessing something extraordinary.

Surf Stoke All Around

Our surf lessons have been full of smiles, wipeouts, victories, and plenty of high fives. Watching so many guests stand up on their boards for the first time never gets old, and the winter swell has been kind enough to keep the stoke levels high.

July Starts with Something Special

We're excited to welcome our next Surf & Yoga Retreat on the first weekend of July. With morning surfs, nourishing yoga sessions, wholesome food, and time to reconnect with nature, it's the perfect way to embrace the heart of winter on the coast.

This month's Full Moon brought a powerful shift in energy, and we're carrying that feeling forward with lots more yoga throughout July. Whether you're joining a retreat or simply staying with us for a few days, there'll be plenty of opportunities to stretch, breathe, move, and slow down between surfs.

There are some limited spots for drop ins left and it is still time to come and book your Yoga Session with our spectacular ocean views!

Winter is Pure Magic Here

While much of the country is bundling up, we're still enjoying warm ocean sessions, glassy mornings, empty line-ups, incredible wildlife, and sunsets around the fire.
