Hey Surfhouse Family! Big News!

Winter has been treating us well here at Umzumbe Surf Camp. We've enjoyed consistent surf, breathtaking sunrises, and the annual sardine run putting on an unforgettable show along our coastline. It's been one of those seasons where every day seems to bring something special.

Our surf lessons have been in full flow, with beginners catching their very first waves and more experienced surfers refining their skills in the fun winter conditions. There's nothing quite like seeing the excitement of someone standing up on a wave for the first time.

Our mornings have started with glassy waves and crisp offshore winds, while afternoons have been filled with stories shared over braais, books enjoyed on the tree deck, and the occasional sight of whales breaching just beyond the backline. As the sun sets, guests gather around bonfires with a drink in hand, swapping tales of their best waves and the incredible ocean wildlife they've encountered throughout the day. It's everything we love about winter on the South Coast.

Ocean Concert 2.0

As if that wasn't enough, August is shaping up to be one of our most exciting months yet! On 15 August, we're hosting an intimate live performance by Veranda Panda. It's going to be a relaxed evening of great music and good company. We have just five tickets remaining for guests who would like to book one of our bunk beds and join us for this special night. Black and White Wave Paint Workshop with Radmer 

Then, on 24 August, we're welcoming Radmer back for another one of our popular paint workshops. This time the theme is Black & White, promising a creative, calming experience where simplicity meets expression. Whether you're an experienced artist or simply looking to unwind and try something new, it's the perfect opportunity to slow down, get creative, and enjoy the atmosphere of the camp.
