Hello Surfhouse Family!

What a way to finish the year! 🎉 From early December through the first weeks of January, Umzumbe Surf Camp has been absolutely buzzing with good vibes, salty hair and sun-soaked days. Whether you were here for your very first wave or you’re a seasoned surfer returning to our point break playground, this festive season was one for the books 🌴.

🏄‍♂️ Daily Surf Lessons

Every day brought new faces, new stoke and plenty of “stand up!” moments in the line-up. From absolute beginners catching their first green waves to refining turns in slightly bigger sets, our surf coaches were out there all season helping folks find the joy of surfing right in front of Umzumbe’s world-class point break. So much progression, laughter and ocean love ✨.  

🧘 Beachview Yoga Sessions

Yoga flowed through our days in the most natural way this festive season. From gentle morning stretches to grounding midday resets and calming evening sessions with ocean views, our beachview yoga became a beautiful anchor for guests. Whether it was a moment to energise between surf sessions or to unwind as the sun dipped low, each class offered space to breathe, move and reconnect - all to the rhythm of the sea 🌊✨.

🍖 Sunsets, Braais & Bonfire Nights

As the sun dropped over the Indian Ocean, the Surfhouse garden turned into a communal haven of braais, beach chats and late-night stories. Guests and locals alike gathered under starry skies to share food, tunes and warmth - the perfect way to celebrate holiday connections. 

🎨 Creative Workshops & Community Spark

The last paint workshop as well as our visionboard playshop of the year brought colours, laughter and soulful creativity to our deck - a beautiful way to wrap up 2025. And guess what? We’ll be announcing the next date and time for more creative fun, plus a vision board workshop soon on our social media channels, so keep an eye on Instagram and Facebook for updates! 💫
